Mian Chen, M.D.

Dr. Mian Chen joined the Conte Lab at UCSF in July 2011. She received her M.D. degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University - School of Medicine in China. Previously, she worked at UCSF for three years and in Dr. Myron Cybulsky's lab at UHN, University of Toronto for fifteen years. Using flow cytometry and Q-PCR assays, she does gene and protein expression studies in vascular smooth muscle and endothelial cells utilizing various in vitro models of vascular injury. Moreover, she also supports and participates in other ongoing research projects within the Contelab.
